About

A plain list of where communities go when they leave Discord, run by someone with an obvious stake in it.

Who

I am Jorge Gonzalez. I build Probed, a hosted, closed-source Discord alternative, by myself. That is a conflict of interest and it is on every page. Probed is on the board with the same facts as everything else, including the ones that count against it: it isn't open source and you can't host it yourself.

Why

The existing places to compare Discord alternatives either rank apps by one reviewer's taste or refuse to list anything under a month old. Neither helps the person who has to move 400 people and their voice channels. Here there are only facts with sources, and new apps are listed from day one.

Getting an app added or a fact fixed

Post on r/LeavingDiscord with the app and a link that shows the fact. Builders are welcome to submit their own app; say that it is yours.

Names

Product names belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
